Dr. Ajay Munjal

Dentist  
Dr. Ajay Munjal, originally from India, received his dental degree from the historical ‘pink city’ in 1989. Soon thereafter, Dr. Munjal worked in emergency care in one of India’s premier hospitals; All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Quest for learning lead Dr. Munjal to do a Masters in Prosthodontic dentistry from Bombay. His specialization included fixed and removable partial dentures, complete dentures, appliances for children with cleft palate, and post-surgical reconstruction of jaws for patients with cancer. In 1994, Dr. Munjal also had an opportunity to work as a full time assistant professor at Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Bombay. Looking for new challenges, Dr. Munjal then moved to the picturesque city of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman in 1996, and successfully practised in a family dental office. Dr. Munjal graduated with honors from Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry in 2012. He was also the recipient of two awards; a scholarship from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario for achieving the highest academic standing, and an award for excellence in restorative dentistry. After associating in London, Ontario, Dr. Munjal acquired Carere Dental in December 2013, and is now working here full time. Dr. Munjal shares a strong passion for prevention, and believes, ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of treatment’. Dr. Munjal maintains an interest in all areas of dentistry, and constantly works to expand his horizon and stay on top of emerging technology in the dental field. Dr. Munjal cares deeply, not only about the quality of dentistry, but also about the well-being and comfort of his patients. His ability to treat each patient with great respect, empathy and confidentiality are reasons why his patients return to him. Dentistry for Dr. Munjal is not only his profession but his passion. Nothing is more satisfying to him than happy faces of his patients In his personal life, Dr. Munjal is happily married to Alweena Munjal, also a graduate of Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, and is blessed with two beautiful children. Spending quality time with family, following sports events, cooking, and glass painting are his favourite hobbies. Dr. Munjal is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, Waterloo-Wellington Dental Society and a licensed member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
